Groups for Children and Families

We run a range of nature-based groups for children 0-16, that way all can get involved! Feel inspired to connect with the natural world and live sustainably through our fun-filled outdoor sessions!

Nature Tots (0-5)

FREE fun-filled session of exploring nature with your little ones. Nature Tots is the perfect opportunity for little ones to connect with the great outdoors and learn about the environment in a hands-on way.

Each session is different, with a range of different crafts and activities for you and your little one to enjoy. One week we might make bird nests, another session might focus on minibeasts. Each session, we enjoy a drink and a snack. It's a lovely way to spend quality time together while fostering a love for nature. Adults must accompany tots during the sessions.

Nature Adventurers (5-11)

Explore nature through games, activities and adventures at our FREE afterschool club, Nature Adventurers!We'll explore the nature around us through games, activities and adventures.

The club is a great way to get outdoors whatever the weather and observe the changing seasons. The whole family can get involved. Activities include den-building, foraging, campfire cooking, woodland crafts, tool use, storytelling and lots more.

 All our sessions take place outside in the woodland. Come dressed for the weather and be prepared to get messy! Adults must accompany children to the sessions.

Urban Wild (11-16)

Urban Wild is our outdoor youth group which gets young people, aged 11-16, outside and trying out new skills. We support those who are feeling isolated, experiencing pressure from peers or live within walking distance of the reserve. 

We learn loads of fun, outdoors skills like: cooking on the campfire, bushcraft, building birdhouses, heritage crafts and lots more – let us know what you want to try!

  • Thursdays, 4:30-6:00pm at St Nicks. For blocks of 6-weeks at a time. We're currently taking a pause, but will be running more sessions later in the year - let us know you are interested in joining via our online enrolment form (click here).
