Green Social Prescribing
Green Social Prescribing offers additional one-to-one, tailored support for adults (aged 18 and over) who would like to connect with nature to improve their wellbeing. This 'nature connection' may be through accessing green (outdoor) spaces, nature-based groups or volunteering. It's for people who may be struggling to do this without support, including due to feeling isolated, low, anxious, stuck or lacking in confidence.
Through meeting with our Green Social Prescriber, Briony, you be able to engage in short-term one-to-one support at a pace that suits you. These sessions will:
- give us the chance to get to know one another; we'll explore your interests, needs, goals and challenges in enjoying green spaces.
- take place in a safe and supportive environment, and can include walks and talks either at St Nicks nature reserve, other green spaces in York or in community services you are already familiar with.
You will have the opportunity attend activities or groups of your interest alongside Briony, who will support you to build your confidence to attend independently in the future.
If you are interested in Green Social Prescribing, please complete this form below and we'll get back in touch with you as soon as we can.
