Improving Wildlife Areas at Water End
Tuesday 19th August 9.30am-3.30pm
Help us to manage the grassland at Water End. Our aim is to improve the value of the site for the benefit of people and wildlife. The activity will involve scything the grass and then raking off the cuttings to stop extra nutrients getting back into the soil.
The nearest facilities are at the YHA Youth Hostel (about a 15min walk). The session is suitable for groups of 5-12 people. If your group is bigger than this, please get in touch and we will see what we can do. The timings can be changed if you would prefer to do a half day.
Book this session for your team by clicking below. A member of staff will then be in touch to confirm your booking and discuss details. For more information, contact Maeve Milliken by emailing maeve@stnicks.org.uk.
If there are any health or mobility issues within your group that may affect someone carrying out the task, please get in touch and we will see what we can do to support you as there may be alternative tasks available. However not all tasks and sites are fully accessible.
