Himalayan balsam removal:
Fulford Golf Club - Heslington Lane
Join us at Fulford Golf Club and help to pull out the invasive plant, Himalayan balsam. We are trying to prevent further spread of this plant by removing it from areas near to water courses which may carry the seeds further downstream. Balsam can completely dominate an area, creating a monoculture which diminishes our all important biodiversity. By removing balsam, we are minimising it's spread across our watercourses and making room for native wildflowers and plants which, in turn, support other species like bees, butterflies and water voles.
This session will take place at Fulford Golf Club on Heslington Lane (What3words:voter.cope.acted). There are facilities on site, but you should bring lunch, drinks and snacks. The session is suitable for groups of 10-20 people. If your group is bigger than this, please get in touch and we will see what we can do.
Book this session for your team by clicking below, or for more information, contact Nicola Ward by emailing nicola@stnicks.org.uk.
