Ouse Corridor Volunteering - Millennium Fields or New Walk
Help improve the wildlife value of the Ouse Corridor. If the river isn't flooded, we will head to New Walk to finish scything the fenced area. This part has been sectioned off to create more habitat for the lovely Tansy beetle! If the river is flooded we will go to the mature woodland on Millennium Fields and carry out maintenance on the dead hedges. These act as important habitat for wildlife and are a nice way to use up woody material. Meet on Millennium Fields, near the sign (///rush.menu.cracks). Any problems on the day call Nicola on 07708834817.
Outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear recommended.
This is a drop-in session, so there is no need to book.
Under 13s need to be accompanied by an adult and under 16s need parental consent if not accompanied by an adult. Download a Parental Consent Form and email it to the listed contact for this session.
Please note, our conservation sessions will be cancelled if amber or red weather warnings are issued. This is to ensure the safety of both staff and volunteers. If you are unsure if the session will be taking place, please contact the leader of the session. Contact details can be found on the left hand side of this page.
