Develop a wildflower area at Heworth Holme wetland meadow
Thursday 17th September 10am-3.30pm
Help us to manage and improve Heworth Holme wetland meadow. Our aim is to improve the value of the area for the benefit of people and wildlife. The activity will involve preparing an area of the grassland for seed sowing. This means mowing the grass and digging out rank grassland species like nettles and docks using spades. Towards the end of the session, we will sow a wildflower seed mix.
The session is suitable for groups of 5-20 people. If your group is bigger than this, please get in touch and we will see what we can do.
If you would prefer to do a half day, just let us know in the comments when you book if you would prefer the morning or the afternoon.
