Improving Wildflower Areas in Millennium Fields Woodland
Monday 10th August 9.30am-12.00pm
Help us to manage wildflower areas in Millennium Fields woodland, a popular stop which offers a variety of different habitats for wildlife!
Our aim is to improve the value of the site for the benefit of people and wildlife. The activity will involve scything the grass and then raking off the cuttings to stop extra nutrients getting back into the soil. This will encourage a wider range of plant species to grow and stop invasive species such as docks and nettles from taking over.
The nearest facilities are at Cycle Heaven (about a 15min walk). The session is suitable for groups of 5-10 people. If your group is bigger than this, please get in touch and we will see what we can do.
Book this session for your team by clicking below. A member of staff will then be in touch to confirm your booking and discuss details. For more information, contact Maeve Milliken by emailing maeve@stnicks.org.uk.
