Ouse North Corridor Conservation session: Homestead Park

Come along and join in the fight against Himalayan Balsam! This session we will be checking for, and removing Himalayan balsam from around Homestead Park, in their wildlife area, towards Ings Dyke. Meet in the car park what3words: //////areas.focus.appeal. Any problems on the day, call Nicola on 07708834817

Balsam can completely dominate an area, creating a monoculture which diminishes our all important biodiversity. By removing balsam, we are minimising it's spread across our watercourses and greenspaces and making room for native wildflowers and plants which, in turn, support other species like bees, butterflies and water voles.

Please have a look at our risk assessment before the session to familiarise yourselves with what we will be doing.
