Help us improve the route 66 cycle path by clearing the bramble and other scrubby species encroaching into the grassland on what used to be the Tang Hall Community Orchard. Although no longer an orchard, the grassland is valuable habitat for local wildlife. We'll be chopping scrub with loppers and shears to manage the growth of bramble, rose, hawthorn, buddlia and other scrubby species.
Please note there are no facilities on site at the orchard but St Nicks Environment Centre (YO10 3FW) is a 10 minute walk away and we can use the toilets and the kitchen there.
We can meet at the orchard site (https://what3words.com/stack.lives.hero) on the cycle path, or we can meet at St Nicks and walk to the orchard together.
The session is suitable for groups of 5-12 people. If you would rather to do a half day, just let us know in the comments when you book if you would prefer the morning or the afternoon.
