Woodland Management at Millennium Fields
Monday 7th December, 9.30am-3.30pm
Help us improve this lovely orchard for the benefit of wildlife and people in the local community.
Come and help us manage the mature woodland next to the meadow and River Ouse. We will be thinning the woodland and creating dead hedges and habitat piles out of the brash. This is to create more space within the woodland, allowing more light to reach the ground and thus encourage a greater diversity of ground flora to grow.
The session will be based at Millennium Fields with access to the facilities at Cycle Heaven Cafe.
The session is suitable for groups of 5-12 people. If your group is bigger than this, please get in touch and we will see what we can do.
Book this session for your team by clicking below. Timings can be adjusted if you would like to do a half day. A member of staff will then be in touch to confirm your booking and discuss details. For more information, contact Maeve Milliken by emailing maeve@stnicks.org.uk
If there are any health or mobility issues within your group that may affect someone carrying out the task, please get in touch and we will see what we can do to support you as there may be alternative tasks available. However not all tasks and sites are fully accessible.
